Intake sessions focus on your current concerns and discussing your goals for therapy. This session will also serve as a space to determine if we're a good fit for working with one another.
These typically last 60-90 minutes.
-Individual Therapy-
Individual therapy sessions are mostly client-led. Our sessions can focus on whatever is on your mind at the time, things you've written down to process since your last session, or I can step in and offer a starting point if you'd prefer.
I will keep the goals you've identified in mind and ensure we are always moving in that direction. I tend to blend classic therapy techniques and evidence-based practices with more woo/spiritual concepts like shadow work, Human Design, astrology, and tarot to guide you there.
These sessions typically last 60-75 minutes, based on availability.
-How Often Do Sessions Occur?-
Ideally we start out meeting weekly. This frequency helps you get more comfortable being vulnerable with me in sessions. That way you don't feel weird about sharing things, and it'll also help you trust me as a therapist.
These are really important factors to help you see relief quicker and will help you make traction on your goals much faster.
However, not everyone can make weekly sessions work—for a variety of reasons. Depending on your goals and your experiences, it may be possible to start with bi-weekly sessions.
If we do decide on bi-weekly sessions, I encourage you to set aside 90 minutes for those sessions, so the majority of it is not spent catching me up on what's happened since we last met.
-Cancellation Policy-
The full fee of $200 is charged for any sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. Rescheduled appointment slots may be available on a limited basis and must be made within a calendar week of the original session date.
-Insurance / Payment-
I am considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. Clients are responsible for the full fee at time of service, but may receive reimbursement directly from their insurance companies. I am happy to provide you with forms for reimbursement.
*Please note that you must receive a mental health diagnosis in order to file a claim with your insurance company.
I accept payment via all major credit cards, as well as most HSA/FSA cards.
-Licensure-
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee (#4774) and an approved licensed telehealth provider in Florida (#0810008287). Due to state licensure laws, I am only able to see clients who are physically located in those states at the time of the session.
-No Surprises Act Notice-
In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their Federal rights and protections against “surprise billing” from an out-of-network provider.
